Outfall Toe Drain - Standards and Codes

HI welcome

How to design a toe drain for a strom water draiange outfall.

Normally rock materials ( 50 mm to 300mm) of adequate depth and width filled at tghe toe drain area . For this requirement I would like to receive information on follwoing

1. What is the relevant BS codes for materail infill used for Toe drains

2. How to design and what are the design requirements/parameters

3. A typical design metthods used world wide with applicable formulas

Hmm, you want to know everything about the design of toe drains. They teach whole graduate course in geotechnical engineering on the subject of subsurface drainage. You need to have an estimate of how much water per unit length that must be collected during the peak wet conditions, the native soil parameters (particle size distribution, etc.), lengths to convey collected water to point of outfall, some information about the structure being drained (like shape and features that effect drainage paths), etc..
