It is the device which makes the table fan to rotate and therby provide you with a draft of cooling air.

What is the type of Motor in Table Fan?

In Celling Fan motor is Capacitor Start Induction Run Single Phase Induction Motor. On similar terms what is the type of motor in Table Fan?

Since we can't see the table or the fan, we will have to guess. There are about 50 kinds of induction motors on the market.

To answer your question, I would have to guess the cheapest motor is the type. That being the case, I would guess that was a "Shaded Pole" induction motor so that it always runs in the correct direction.
