Busbar specifications

Sir,

What is the creiteria for selection of Busbar type. i.e Aluminium or copper.

Our criteria for use is based on COST. Each is almost equivalent -- technically in a properly built installation.

You will likely need a larger cross section for Aluminum, based on ampacity, may need more or less supports, and different support designs due to thermal coefficents of expansion, strength, etc., but a the end of the day, it is COST.
