Radio Codes After Repairs

10/21/2008 1:10 AM

Hi

I have a 2002 Kia Sedona.I just had an Input Turbine Speed Sensor replaced in it and had to take it back the next day and it was kept for 5 days while the guy was running tests etc, turns out it was a bad signal wire that was shorting out the sensor.

Now my radio will not play...it asks for a code which I do not have b/c I bought the van at a used lot a month ago. Any help would be appreciated

Lori

Kia dealers, and anyone else who works on cars with the same radio, will have a bit of cracking software. Talk nicely, & they'll probably do it for a pint.

I guess I got lucky with mine. Bought it 3 years old at 54000 miles have never had one problem except replacing the battery after it was 7 years old (original honda battery).

It now has around 190,000 miles on it and it still rides great.

try the default code of #1111 (or #0000) otherwise you may have to visit the dealer parts dept to retrieve the code for you. common problem : )
