General cost for a gas-liquid chromatographer (GLC)

10/21/2008 6:06 AM

Hi,

I was hoping to ask a quick question of this forum on what the approx. cost of a Gas-Liquid Chromotographer, with enough bells and whistles to perform screening of essential fatty acids of human blood?

I am doing a research assignment on fatty acid screening costs and was hoping to get just a general indication of the equipment cost, e.g. is this about $100-$200K, $500k, or more?

I know I could contact a seller, but they are not interested in talking to students trying to find an indicative price for research purposes.

If you do not wish to post an amount on this forum, appreciate if you could just let me know by sending to my email address

(cris_adder@yahoo.com.au)

Any help on this would be very much appreciated!

Thanks again and regards..

Chris
