link testing

I've tried putting a url between the "......" in the link line

but when i go to Preview Forum Thread ......... it disappears!

ie, there is actually a test line written below but i know it isn't showing up.

does anyone know what is wrong here?

i'm using a Mac with Safari so not sure if that is what's doing it.
