First, you need to narrow down your DC voltage level. 800VDC is a lot more attainable with standard equipment than 1000VDC is going to be.
For 1000VDC, you will need to step up the 220VAC to about 700VAC, then you need rectifier. You will also need to know if the DC from the rectifier needs to be filtered or not. 700VAC is above the industry standard insulation level of 600VAC, so you will need equipment rated for 1000VAC as a minimum, much more expensive and all custom made.
600VAC rectified will get you 848VDC, so if you can live with that, you can use much more readily available (cheaper) components and wiring. At that point there are lots and lots of DC power supply people out there with off-the-shelf systems.
