betz limit in lift mode

Hi-It doesn't make sense to me that any aerodynamic device that is based on lift and not on drag will suffer from betz limit.

I think that betz limit should be relevant for the work that is done on a wing or sail isn't based on power.

Lift is based only on pressure differences and no dirct force!

Uhhh ...... I don't really understand your question/statement -

But 'pressure' is a force; defined as "the force applied to a unit area of surface"
