You heard it here first (November 11, 2008), from AlphaMail...! I proffer the "USV...!" I have perused this website, and it is an amalgamation of the brilliance that made this country great. How in the h--- you guys got so damn smart is beyond a simple man like me........So, all you American geniuses, all you intrepid mentals who wax creatively, I pose a question. Before I ask, I'll say this: American ingenuity is titanic! American freedom has given us the ability to not worry, and so, to be able to focus, which in turn frees us to think deeply and creatively. The Japanese have surpassed us because they drew geniuses together (corporately!) to work on energy problems. But it was corporate! America has Yankee ingenuity (individuality!). We have, because of the nature of freedom, the most absolute, dyed-in-the-wool, creative brainiacs on earth! Back-yard mechanics, tinkering electrical whizzes, go-cart junkies, computer nerds, amateur machinists, motorcycle builders, fiberglass shapers, chemical geeks, et.al. The only reason our common man 'know-how' isn't "smokin" the opposition, is because we always thought we had to do it at MIT! That's old-school! I propose the CR4 "USV"! So here is the question, and I hope it becomes the biggest 'thread' to ever be woven into the creative fabric of America's homegrown brilliance: I have a goal of using the latest high-output solar generator (mini-parabolic or solar-cell, or combo) to charge the highest-capacity/least-volume battery-bank (less than 200lbs.?), to operate the highest-available-output/least-weight motor for a backwoods, city-free, home-fueled, four-wheel, all-terrain, millenium-model of the basic 'quad-runner', the "CR4 Ultimate Survival Vehicle"---HOW, do we build this? The criterion would suggest the 'power base' (charger) be no larger than 10' x 24', with the possibility of the USV (w/accessories & trailer) to be housed beneath the P-base, with the option of portability, whereby the P-base can be 'folded-in' upon itself (compacted) and towed behind the USV. A frontal winch would be one of the suggested 'accessories' (along with basic lubricants, gaskets, hoses, fittings, & tools). This unit would offer expeditious, versatile mobility, and a 'near-total-degree of independence', which would suggest greater safety and freedom for any individual and his family, wishing to navigate the countryside freely, securely, and quietly. To those of you who tinker, but don't necessarily 'network', please investigate the concept of "Synergism."
