FORMULA TO CALCULATE

Dear Friends, I'm new to QC World.

I was assigned to conduct Procedure Qualification Test as detailed

6" sch 80 x processes - Root+hot passes -GTAW, Fill + Cap - SMAW

I need to know formula to calculate

a) Deposited weld metal thickness / volume

b) Gas Flow rate

c) Travel Speed and Heat In-put

Which industries? what process is? every one may not be able to understand your abbreviations.

I believe that most of the CR4 members replies most of the questions on the basis of their wisdom and common sense, Not that they belongs to the fields to which question belongs to.

I'm working in Marine Industry involved in Offshore Industry

GTAW - Gas Tungsten Arc Welding Process

SMAW - Shield Metal Arc Welding

Hope some one familiar with Welder Qualification or Welding Procedure Qualification Tests, maybe a welding engineer.If someone has, pls send welding parameters calculation formula handbook.
