From googling it i would say you can not add an Estop to the starter itself... looks like just a main supply feed in , manaul contactor and the output feed to the motor.

you need some control equipment / relays either in a seprate MCC or replace the starter with one suitiable for emergancy stop system.

Here in the UK all Motors should have emerency stop buttons installed as per the PEWER regs.

Is the Starter in a hazadous area? looks like its is made for hazadous area's if i have found the correct starter on google?

Dear Sir,

E-Stop (EMERGENCY STOP-Push button) shall be wired in series with control circuit energising the main motor contactor. The E-PB can be press to lock and key to release type. The E-PB station will be kept near the motor to stop the motor in the case of emergency situation.Hence the name of the PB as E-stop.

Break the connection between the stop switch and the starter relay coil and insert the E-Stop switch in series with this circuit. The E-Stop switch must be a manual push to actuate pull to reset and not a spring return type. Check with your Square D dealer. You may want to replace your manual switches with momentary switches and add an auxiliary contact keep the coil energised to address some potential safety issues.

Friend,

The starter he referred to does not have switches; the buttons do a mechanical operation. Like a circuit breaker, with load sensing which unlatches it so it turns off.
