Thermoelectric Thin Films for Waste Heat Power Recovery and Generation

11/19/2008 11:18 AM

The Interdisciplinary Microsystems Group, University of Florida is in the process of developing "Thermoelectric Devices for Waste Heat Power Recovery and Generation". http://www.img.ufl.edu/php/project.php?id=30 This research is sponsered by the Army Research Lab. This group seems? to be developing thin films capable of generating electricity directly from thermoelectric conversion.

QUESTION? Are there any other groups/intitutions or companies working on this field of research?

Adolph Coors once developed a technology in that area. although for lack of market the company ultimately shut down the factory and liquidated the operations and facility.
