what is the difference between desig review and design verification

The five cents answer is that design verification looks at the design specifications and asks whether each of those was met. Design review often includes elements of verification but also looks to profitability, tooling, supply chain, calendar, etc. (i.e., can we build this here, on time, at a profit, and still have it meet specs?)
