It's very simple

You have to apply to Customer Service by phone or by website www.ul.com

You can also check Intertek, Met Labs, and TUV-Rhineland, all of them provide testing/approval services for electrical equipment.

Google them to find their home page, then contact their representative.

Depending on what your equipment is/does/and where you intend to market it, they will tell you what is necessary for certification.

This question raises an interesting point. People quite often confuse the standards requirements with the standards approval work. It's like asking "where can I get my Chevy serviced?" The answer is that any certifed garage can service the Chevy according to the Chevy specs. So, the question should have been "where can I get my Chevy serviced to the Chevy specs". The answer then becomes easier to answer.

Similarly, the question here should have been "in the US, UL standards must be met, so where can I go to have my electrical equipment approved to those standards?"

The answer as noted previously is to contact any of the numerous NRTLs (Nationally Recognized Testing Labs) for advice. Be aware also, that there are NRTLs outside the US that may be more local to you.
