I need to know if water in hdyraulic will cause any affects to the system and how cure the affects.

Yes It will.

1) cloudy appearance is caused by 200 ppm of water in hydraulics. You could have much more water in of course, but at 200 ppm it turns the fluid cloudy.

2) It can Deplete some additives and react with constituents to form corrosive agents which can attack the metals and seals in the system.

3) It can Reduces the film-strength of the fluid, reducing lubricity. This can promote wear and corrosion.

4) It clogs filters in the system

5) It can promote air entrapment and cavitation

All of these mean Premature failure of your system.

While you ask about "curing" the system, I would urge you to first find out how the water infiltrated and stop that. Draining and "dewatering" hydraulic systems is expensive proposition.

Small volumes of water can be removed by using a polymer type of filter.

other methods involving distillation etc are pretty exepensive and may be out of reach.

Replacing old fluid after purging system with new fluid is way to go. AFTER youve figured out how to stop ingress of water.

A Google search for "hydraulic oil+water contamination" brought up this article,

Plus many more that looked interesting.

Effects?

System improper operation. Corrision, rust, and system component failures. Potential complete system failure.

Cures?

Find the source of water input and fix. Flush system completely after repairs and test for proper operation. Use correct hydraulic oil/fluid.

You will find this very interesting:

The manufacturer will recommend replace hydraulic fluids every year because hydraulic fluids absorb moisture.

You should not operate any hydraulic systems with contaminated oil............it is estimated that about 80% of hydraulic failures can be attributed to contaminated oil................one of the major sources of contamination..........WATER.

If you require your hydraulic system(s) to have a long and reasonably long life.........look after your oil........and have it checked regularly for contamination.

I think Milo has spelled it out very well. The hydraulic fluid is the lifeline of your hydraulic system. Repair your contamination problem, and keep the fluid clean and healthy.
