The question is too broad and would depend upon the application and service environment.

202 is essentially a general purpose low Ni modification of type 302. (Its Ni content is 4.0/6.0% versus 8.00/10.00% for 302).

Types 202 and 302 are Austenitic, generally non-magnetic and hardenable only by cold-working. Type 430 is a general purpose, non-hardenable Ferritic grade used primarily for screw machining, cold or warm-heading, spinning and similar processes.

In a seacoast or similar salt-contaminated environment, Austenitic SST would normally have better corrosion resistance.

It depends on the service and fluid or atmosphere. SS202 is an alternative to SS 304 instead of Ni there is Mn this to have a low cost Austenitic Stainless Steel.

202 Cr

17.0 – 19.0 Ni 4.0 – 6.0 Mn 7.5 – 10.0

304 Cr

18.0 – 20.0 Ni 8.0 – 10.5 Mn 2.0

hope this help
