cable & cable lug

hi there. i want to joint xlpe cable with rubber flexible cable 1- is there any safe way to joint them with a cable joint? 2- i was told to use a power terminal box, a box with oil dielectric, and cable lugs, special T type, any one has the same experience? 3- any one knows any good brand for rubber cable (1x70, 6/10 kV) and cable connector (equivalent to CB 24-630 manufactured by NKT)

Hi Friend,

The cable jointing material required for XLPE cable and rubber insulated cable is totally different and hence for safer method is to use terminal box . Raychem RPG Ltd India are one of the top grade manufacturers of cable jointing kits .They manufacture some special jointing kits for composite joints for jointing XLPE and PILC/ PVC cables . You may contact them for a suitable jointing kit to suit your purpose.
