FORMULA TO CALCULATE M/C TIME

DEAR SIR,

I WANT TO KNOW FORMULE TO CALCULATE MACHINING TIME (LATHE,MILLING,GRINDING,DRILLING MACHINE), SO THAT AFTER GIVING OUR INPUT WE CAN GET MACHINING TIME.

The principles will apply to drill and lathe.just leave out index time.

You really ought to buy a copy of Machinery's handbook.

For turning boring and facing T Time in minutes equals Length of cut in inches divided by feed in inches per revolution times lathe spindle speed in Revolutions per minute.

You can work out for the other operations, this is a great start.

[Machining time per part] = [number of parts per week]/[number of hours machining per week]
