What's New in ASME VIII Div. 2 Edition 2007?

what is the basis of new code VIII-2 ED.2007?

What are the major changes and what are the basis to change?

How i can find the evolution of new code? means how does it affects existing Performance of pressure vessels. w.r.t Cost, weight?

It sounds like you are looking for too much detail that could successfully be explained within this forum.

I suggest you get a hold of a couple of papers already written, specifically:

  1. Criteria of the ASME boiler and pressure vessel code for design by analysis in Sections III and VIII, Division 2; ASME c1969
  2. Modernization of Pressure Vessel Design Codes ASME Section VIII, Division 2, 2007 Edition

And do a Google search which should bring up items such as:
