Earth Leakage Trip

we are using ELCB 3A rating with 300/3A CT.The connected load are both 3 phases and single phases.The CT primary are all 3 phases and Nuetral.The problem is when CT secondary connected to ELCB , it trip the breaker even all 3 phases load are diconnected.Can you anybody give solution for the probem.

It means there is circulating current in the neutral. This will happen when generators are running in parallel & in stead of one,more than one neutrals are connected to earth. Or otherwise the neutral grounding may not be proper.

Thank you, we solved the problem.one of the outgoing feeder cable neutral shorted with ground,Some other circuit current flow to the neutral to ground.After correct the neutral of the feeder, no Earth leakage trip.Thanks for your idea.

I will suggest to check setting of ELCB, if its low say 20mA it will trip due to very low leakage or circulating current. It could be 50mA or as per local By-law.
