If you are talking about radio technology, you would need a hand held transmitter. Also, surely lots of close range radio waves buzzing round your head, can't be good for you. You may be better off wiring an infra-red receiver into the room, and using a conventional IR remote control for it.

Hello Muneeb,

I think this top search site may be the one you want to start with.

It has radio kits and actuators and help for the newbie just starting out!

Which Country are you based? I can maybe find place a little nearer your place.

Tell me what searches have you done and what have you found?

I would say just one bit of advice. Try getting kits to start with, that you can rebuild. You can use them for all kinds of projects. Once you can see it will or will not work for an idea you can change it, or take it apart completely and start from new!

Keep us informed on how you are doing and what you are making, perhaps with some pics? That way others looking in can find answers to their own ideas and problems, which is what the site is all about, helping others?

Good luck.

In USA home depot, menards, loes all have a wireless switch to turn on lights. cost about $20.00. You could probably use this to operate a motor.
