Online machining service seems to be a trend of manufacturing. I have to fax the drawings to a machineshop 20 years before. Internet make things easier. Now you may summit the cad file through website or sending by email to finish your order.
emachineshop is the first online manufacturing service provider. They have a CAD software which can instant quote the design. I don't like to use it. Their price is high and quality isn't stable. Quickparts are special dedicated in fast prototyping.
Now I'm working with www.machinepier.com . They don't have free cad software, but they accept almost all the cad formats. the service, price and quality are very good so far. They are strongly recommeded if you need custom parts.
