what is detail you need.

I apologize, I do not have the documents for NEMA 56 , but if you need to inspection or test for Induction motor, you can refer to:

1. IEEE std 112 : Test procedure for Polyphase Induction Motor and Generators

2. NEMA MG 1 : Motor and Generator

3. EASA AR 100 : Recommended Practice for the repair of rotating electrical apparatus

4) IEEE 43-2000: Insulation Resistance and Polarization Index (new and aged windings)

5) IEEE 56-1977: IEEE guide for Insulation Maintenance of Large Alternating Current Machinery

6) IEEE 286-2000: power factor tip-up tests (new and aged windings)

7) IEEE 1434-2000: partial discharge tests (new and aged windings)

NEMA E 56 is a style of motor housing.

Google it and you will have all the specs you need. Motor manufacturers will have these on their web sites.

guest; nema 56 refers to the physical size /frame size of the motor, i think you have a 1 1/2 HP motor
