You can get the weight of the head by calculating the blank weight by the following formula:

Blank Diameter = pi*SQRT(2*((D/2)^2+(h^2) - (D/2-h)^2/2.2))/2 + skirt*2

where D = inside diameter of head

h = height of head

skirt = length of skirt (straight flange)

The approximate weight will then be given by the volume of the blank times the material density.

W = pi*(Blank Diameter/2)2*[thickness of blank]*[density of steel]

The weight of the insulation can be found from the surface area of the head given by:

S.A. = 1.084*D2 [NOTE: Does not include straight flange]

add the area of any straight flange if required from cylinder surface area.

Then finally multiply the surface area of the head by the thickness of the required insulation times the insulation density.

To calculate the weight of the head - don't worry about the blank diameter (because you probably won't know the original thickness anyway):

Calculate the volume of the head by the S.A. as above (= 1.084*D) times the final thickness, times the material density.

Don't forget to add the straight flange, if any - calculate that by using the volume of a cylinder times density.
