Can you tell me do you want the pillor and lock or just the lock? Does it have to be this kinnegrip make?

Kinnegrip themselves I have been trying to get even a simple answer from. I have e mailed all three of their offices. Sweeden, Germany, and Italy, never to get an answer.
Found dozens of distributors in Europe, and one in Australia. But none in the states.
It's a nice system and would like to use it. But will acceptanyone elses similar unit that does the same thing.
(Forgot to sign in?)..............Will you be using this system to put sides on flat-backs? And is this a commercial thing or just for your own truck?
Can you tell me what size and type, aluminium or steel you prefer? Will these be fixed or removable?...........I need to know to do better searches.
Have a great new year...............

By removable..........The pillars on some flat-backs can be taken off to allow larger items to be carried. These pillars slide into a square hollow steel tube that is part of the lorries frame.
So knowing this (if I have described it well enough) will you use fixed pillars or removable one? Ally or steel?
These are very common on European small trucks from about one ton up. Obviously, the removable type would go onto a larger weight category truck mostly anyway. But they are often used on lorries carrying scaffolding where some types of scaffold are already made up into self assembly towers, and if these towers are wide they could be to wide for the pillar to stay in so it is removed for that journey.
Have a great new year.................

An acquaintance in the USA has asked me to try and see if your company 'Kinnegrip' has any outlets in the US?
Do you supply other European Countries who sell products in the US?
He really likes you Pillar locks and I have only a short note via a third party Engineering site called CR4.com, so I am not sure if he want enough for one lorry or, for 500?
x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x
I look forward to your reply…………..
Sincerely, -x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-
Take care and fingers crossed we shall here from them soon.

Gotta tell you, I've never seen the like in the US.
Removables, fold downs, and what we call stake beds are usually limited to light trucks (maybe 5 ton tops) with a sudden interest in fabric sided trailers in the full size trucks. But the fabrics I have seen are rigid fore and aft with roller panel sides.
Maybe they need a distributor here - you need a job?

all you'd have is pissed off customers. because they'd want to
buy them from you,, but you can't get any because they all must be
frozen in sweeden or something.
Why even have a web page if after three weeks and 12 e mails you never answer any of them.
Now for sure I want to locate someone else, I'd be afrraid to
develop this product then never be able to sell any because of the
dumbass sweedes!
ah you'd have to fill a warehouse Stateside and do your own support?
Or if they are that sleepy - pinch the damned design
Stamp them with a US flag and claim we invented them
Thereby fulfilling Del-the-Cats predictions for any product developed
(Actually it is early AND I just finished following Del's link to the dumbest thread ever (this) and hope this is perceived as gently humorous pulling of Cat's tail)
All meant in good fun - Happy and Prosperous New Year to all!
I've enjoyed the conversation all year long - keep up the good work.

Just to say I got an email from Kinnegrip. The Pillar Locks they make are very good and a special design by them.
Did you get a reply? I wrote back saying you were likely to make several hundred trucks in the US. Would it not pay your company to make these Pillar Locks available in the US?.......
I am waiting for a reply.
In the mean time, have you made any other arrangements for ordering steel locks?
Most European Countries have a similar system on the smaller trucks. It is not as prevalent as it was because of vans. But I have seen them in France and am pretty sure Italy and Spain would be some of the more likely Countries to find them. I will renew my search for you.
Is it possible to give me the size of the back of your trucks? Because if they are long they will need a slide in pillar to allow two lift-up sides to be fixed to as well as the front on one side member, and the tail on the other side member.
Thank you for the interest shown in our company and our products.
At the moment we are having no Product Liability Insurance for the US, and therefore we are not looking for a distributor right now. If/when it might change, I hope we can get back to you!
