Nyquist Criterion

10/25/2006 9:07 AM

Can anyone direct me to some helpful sites that explain, and provide examples for the Nyquist Criterion? I have to take a technical exam, and during the course of study in university we did not cover this topic in my control systems class.

Thanks

Wikipedia goes over this pretty well.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nyquist-Shannon_sampling_theorem

Good luck

Actually, "Nyquist Criterion" usually refers to the stability criterion, not the sampling theorem. Wiki does that well too, see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stability_criterion
