Problems with Yahoo Mail

I am located in Mumbai,India. Now days I face problem while operating my Yahoo mail box. I get signal at bottom of the window "logging to us mc 55" and it gets struck up there and my mail box does not open.It opens only after waiting for long time. Is it due to recent sea cable damage in Mediterranean sea?. Any body else also face this problem. Or is it due to any Virus?. Can any of our Computer Wizards suggest me remedy.
