You are looking for a parasitic draw on the electrical system of a car. Disconnect the negative battery terminal and connect an ammeter from the negative post to the negative cable end and wait a couple of seconds for the readings and study them for a minute or two. If the battery has over 25 milliamp draw then it is a good possibility that something is drawing too much current.

use the positive side only connect the amp meter in series and you should have no more than .2 amps make sure you are using your meter on at least a 10 amp scale disconnect the hood light get in the car close the door with the key in the off DO NOT turn the key on.the first thing you should check is the glove box light open it up and watch the meter you should have about a .5 amp draw and it should go away when you close the door if you see no change and the light is on when you open the glove box door remove the light bulb and look for a decrease in draw once you have done that and found that is not the problem start pulling fuses one at a time and watch for decrease in draw you will find it this way.Sometimes you must wait to see your true amp draw after you connect your meter for the control modules and computers to power up and then power off.Good luck these are my favorite problems to encounter because of the challenge
