In general Cv is coefficient of valve.

Hi there,

As stated above CV is the valve flow coefficient.

The defintion: The Cv is the number of US gallons of water the valve will pass with a differential pressure of 1 psi.
The basic formula: Q = Cv(dP/SG)^0.5
Where Q = flow in us GPM

dP = differential pressure is PSI

SG = Specific Gravity
