Eden Pure

01/09/2009 5:48 AM

So here is the question. Can people save on their heating bill by using Eden Pure. My neighbor bought a few, and we live in Maine, and he claims his total heating bill last month was only $120 (the $120 was on top of his previous months electric bill).

And this is similar to talk at the coffee shop, hehe, and all anyone does there is talk about the price of wood, oil, and gas on a daily basis.

Truth is you can't even heat a place in Maine if you purchase wood for that cheap. Is this anecdotal or are the arguments compelling to switch to the electric heat of a Eden Pure from wood, oil, or natural gas.

Coffee shop goers stand back, because after all, we ARE talking about real money here!

This thread has been moved to the Commercial Space section of CR4.

You're welcome here, sbruel@yahoo.com, but please be civil to your peers - even if they are gurus (like me).

Not one of my posts as you can review for yourself can be considered commercial in nature. Please return this to the General section for people to comment on, and please do not accuse me of some ulterior motive, perhaps this can be resolved with some engineering perspective.

Looking through some of these sites, it seems that opinion on the Eden Pure heater varies considerably with some praising it to the skies and others ready to throw it in the trash. I don't own one, so cannot offer any opinion.

Yeah, its all anecdotal, it would be nice to see some kind of BTU comparison. . I might just pony up the dough then publish my findings here. . my neighbor says he has a coupon for $150 off. . so $250 is doable. .

I don't believe they are worth the price. The heater itself does not save money. The concept of zone heating or room heating (while keep the rest of the rooms cold by keeping your central furnace turned off, is what saves money).
