undergraduate mechanical engineering project

May i know what project i can make in mechanical engineering stream

that should include "thermal" as its soul theme

also projects about non conventional sources of energy and pollution controlling measures throughj improvement in mechanical design or implementing some new device

i would be thankful if anyone could help me to get my project done succrssfully

Design a cheap effective solar hot water panel which is effective even in cloudyish conditions, which can be easilly built by a DIYer.
Or a DIY heat pump to exctract low grade winter armth and make it useable for hot water supply or heating.
There is plenty of suff already on this site, which will get you started.

Here is a couple that would suit.

Del was also looking for some new project for 2009 and this could possibly be a strong candidate.

This one is thermal, mechanical, electrical, automotive (and a very British one), and useful
