Tuning an Isuzu Engine

01/12/2009 4:28 AM

Hi,

I have an Isuzu with 3 litre engine, it is comfortable and fuel efficient but while you compare it with Toyota Pre-Runner of same capacity, the pick up in the first gear of Isuzu is not as good as Toyota. Can anybody suggest an way out?? However, I know the fact the Toyota Pre-Runner is not fuel efficient as Isuzu.

OR

Is that the way to be compensated either power or fuel efficiency!!!

Cheers,

Ash Bandy

One of the ways to view your concern is like this. If your Isuzu engine covers 100 feet for every 25 revolutions of your engine, and the Toyota only covers 80 feet, your mileage will be better, but the Toyota will cover that same 100 feet faster.

Tire size, and gear ratios have a tremendous affect on power, and mileage.
