Cisco Switches - 3750 Series

Hi all,I have configured 2 cisco switches of 3750 series.port 9 of switch 1 is connected to the port 9 of switch2.both the port is in up condition.but the status leds at port 9 of switch 1 is steady green and port 9 of switch 2 is steady amber..why is it so?can any one let me know the reason for it..

First, does each of your configurations contain the command "no shutdown?" Second, check your cable. You may need either a cross-over cable or a straight-through cable. If you're using the wrong one the connection won't work.

thanks for ur reply...the problem is solved..it is due to some misconfiguration of vlan..
