Before we get all gushy, I'd dare say that Khan was largely a reprise of Cochise. So much for noble chieftains.

Yeah, you're right guest, they gave him a name like Khan Noonien Singh because they were modeling him after an Apache chief. That's the conclusion you should get from a name like Khan Noonien Singh.

Now, now, calm down, I see where he's coming from. Michael Ansara played Cochise in the TV series Broken Arrow, and also played the Klingon, Kang, in the original Star Trek series.

I'm not sure that's what he (or she (who knows?) meant. I say that because of the last line he wrote "So much for noble chieftains." I think the guest is trying to draw a parallel between the Apache Chief and Kahn.

Which of course is a joke since the idea of Khan was pretty straight forward criticism of Germany's Master Race philosophy.
