not so difficult word - had to find the meaning from dictionery - never heard the word (do you have these still ? though nine lives then 9x .. years = *** years still it is not !!! years - OK may be some ancestors ?)

Dunno where I heard the word...probably when Mrs Cat was doing a crossword. It's not a word used these days.
Nice that you took the trouble to look it up, I always have a dictionary to hand, and I must admit I take a perverse pleasure in using the odd weird word to flumox the MD.

I don't do spell check , and since it is in mail, no underlines (what would have been in msw) so more fun- let them find out all possible meanings from it .
