I am currently working on launcher, I need a Jib crane to handle the pig. However I need to do a data sheet fo the jib Crane. Can any one help me with a blank data sheet for a jib Crane.

I don't have one, but once you get started it writes itself. Start with the load it will see, the swing needed, the power requirements (what you have to work with), the working environment it must withstand, the max height..

Hope this gets you started.

Hi Chike,

You might want to look at this site for ideas. You can find plenty of information on the internet giving capacities, dimensions and costs. Just Google "Jib Cranes".

Hi Chike,

You need to provide following information to mfr.:-

1.Capacity( Maximum load to be lifted ):

2.Jib Arm Length ( Horizontal Distance required to travel) :

3.Type of Jib Crane ( Free standing on column or to be supported from column already existing ):

4.Angle of swivel of Jib Arm ( 180 deg or 360 deg ):

5.Clear Height of lift required:

6.Type of Lifting equipment ( Manual Chain pulley Block or Chain/wire rope electric hoist )

7.Horizontal Travel ( Manual or electrical ):

8.Duty Cycle ( Normal it is suitable Medium Duty not for continuous operation ).

I hope this information would be sufficient for mfr. to give correct quotation.
