Conformal Transformation

Dear All,

Could anyone please let me know the basics in Conformal Transformation? I'm totally confused about the subject by seeing various online topics.

I'm about to calculate external thermal resistance of One power cable directly buried in trench of having backfilled soil of 2 layers of different thermal resistivity.

I would really appreciate if anyone bring me the solution with the sample calculation or any related useful weblinks.
