Calibration Vibration Switch/Transmitter

Dear Frnds

We have 3000Gpm Suzler Centri Pump with gE VISA MOTOR having vibration switch Vibrometer CVS 1000exd at NON DRIVE/drive end at load side also

I understand the switch are factory calibrated but for the past 02 years no 1 touched it, Now we are on the commissioning stage

Q1) how do we calibrate such Vibration instruments ( with what instruments )

Q2) is it adsolutely necessary to start the pump and do calibration

Dear,

This type of vibration instrument is called SEISMIC Accelerometer.and use for body vibration of the equipment. there are three types of calibrations are used for calibration of accelerometers:

1-Static calibration

2-Steady state periodic calibration

3-Pulsed Calibration.

I have above 3 calibration procedure what u wnat?
