Selecting the Right Pipe Material

i am working on a piping project of a textile indutry , and i want to select pipe material for , air , water , gas , condensate , oil and steam . which asme code should i use ?

can anyone tell me the exact code , i know the code of steam its ASTM A106 grade b , but can anyone tell the material code for gas , oil ,condensate , water and air

Yes, the appropriate design "code" may be ASME B31.3, but perhaps, depending on exact service you may look to the other ASME B31 codes.

To repeat, A106 Grade B is not a "code" it is an ASTM standard (specification) for a material.

The ASME codes do not necessarily dictate which material to use, other than from a strength/creep/fracture perspective - you need to look elsewhere for guidance, particularly due to corrosion. One of the more popular sources are the NACE standards.

Another common mild steel spec for utitilies piping such that you have mentioned is A53, and a common stainless steel spec is A269 - but note that there are many more specifications related to other piping materials (low-temperature, high temperature, nickel alloys, ................)
