can someone suggest a good site to learn DSP. some place I download ebooks for free?

Not really, maybe wiki?

DSP = Digital Signal Processor. Basically it's a microprocessor that's been built to process digital signals in real time/near real time - what ever the signals maybe.

What I use to do is to read the user manuals for such items. I know Texas Insturments makes DSP and probably many other IC manufacturers.
