Melting Furnaces for Steel

Hello.

We are looking for a comparison of electric arc furnace and induction furnace for steelmaking. If power supply is short, what furnace type should one go for. Our intended capacity of electric arc furnace is 120 tons. For induction furnace, we can have 4 furnaces of 30 tons capacity each. Basically looking for pros and cons of the two furnace types.

Mr.Arshad,

Normaly Electric Arc Furnace is used for steel melting. In case of power failure u should have Diesel Generator to support the power.My friend is working with leading mfr. of EAF in India, if you are serious about project then please send me full details on my e-mail:sureshsharma@yahoo.com.

Sounds like a kind offer to help!

Just one thing though unless you have a 'disposable email address', you should not publish your address to open forum. It is just asking for spammers. If this is your personal email address you can have it removed by writing to the admin of the site. Write to Chris Leonard. Explain the post where you typed your email and ask for it to be removed?

In future you can send your email, but send it to PM. That way only you and the addressee know it.
