Try using liquid lighter fuel! The stuff you put in Zippos!

You can also use nail polish remover or alcohol. There are other products but I don't know where you are,try a hardware store for adhesive removers.

Would that be more like vodka or wine?

Goo B Gone works great even on old dried tape. We use it to clean sliders on audio boards that build up really bad. Techs love to tape notes on specific points for reference.

If by "White" aluminium you mean overcoat-painted aluminium, then be careful with plastic solvents, as these may also remove the overcoat-paint with the adhesive tape altogether.

If by "white" you meant non-anodised aluminium, then by all means use any plastic or rubber solvent, from Benzine to Acetone...

Use either Afta Cleaning Fluid or K2r Spot Lifter. I use lighter fluid too.

Have you tried WD 40? It won't hurt the frames or leave residue or discoloration.
