01/24/2009 10:43 AM

Our centrifugal compressor has a problem. Safety in between LP and HP is operating during the unloading period of compressor. Safety operating pt. is 3.2 kg. Is due to problem in LP discharge valves.Any one can help???

Geeeh! Technically probably is a matter of a shot HP and LP controls which have to be replaced after a while no escape. Otherwise also check for 'RANGES' proximities which may do the equipment act whacko too many times. The other thing to watch will be control installation positions and vibrations affecting control accuracy.

Check for wiring loosening or burn out terminals and so on as well. You have the technology, relax it will come to you eventually and not rush into nothing.

Lock and Tag,

Thanks Mr Magwer for your suggestion. Actually the operating time period of safety is increased as compare to previous days i.e. the safety is not operating so often. We did nothing to correct it.What are your speculations except above, about this self improved operation. Is that also may be due to the self adjustment of guiding strips(springs) in suction and discharge valves? Is there may be any other problem like solenoid valve of this compressor as we have some problems with the plunger before????

Regards,

Gurvir

Punjab, I am totally confused (not difficult on the eve of the New year). Your question was about a centrifugal compressor but you talk about suction and discharge valves?
