Recondition worn gears on site

01/26/2009 10:55 AM

Are you in charge of gears challenged by heavy loads or high wear? we ar looking for people interested in validating an innovation for gearboxes.

A new surface treatment modifies the metals for higher load carrying capacity. It is added to the lubricant in the machine, which carries the compound to the friction zones of metal surfaces for ion implantation. It was not conceived for improving the lubricant but instead for reconditioning the metal structure. The process develops when the machine is in full operation without loosing productive time. This innovative process which substantially alters the structure and metallurgy of a machine component under friction. It is used in engines, gears, compressors, bearings, and many other applications protecting machinery and machine elements in a wide range of industries. The process improves a range of surface related properties including: resistance to wear, to abrasion, and to oxidation, wetability, adhesion, and fatigue.

Would you be interested in validating an innovation in your machines and bring the results back to the forum? The goal is to increase the load carrying ability of gears so they can withstand higher loads/speeds/temperature, by reconditioning them on-site, in any industrial environment. www.rewitec.us

We saw your product at a reliability how, and we have micropitting and heavy wear in a transmission gearbox in one of our mills. In oil analysis, we see high iron particulate in the oil, but have no budget for a new set of gears and so I 'm looking for a way to keep them running. We would be glad to buy the product and try it. What information do you need from us? Do you have some documented experience in the application and success of Rewitec in gearboxes?

You will find several examples on the value the product gives in the site www.rewitec.us.

Send us the power (HP or KW) transmitted, number of reductions, condition of surfaces, and the volume of oil, so we can determine the dosage needed for the surface treatment.
