How to Determine Spring Damper Position

i'm designing a bicycle. i'm going to put spring-damper on the frame. how to determine it's position? any methods? or software maybe? what is the parameter i should consider?

Use a pencil and paper, or cut out some cardboard strips and use some drawing pins to play with the various pivot points and spring damper locations to look at the travel and leverage/load.
This is probably the quickest way to do it. (Call it CAD ... cardboard aided design)

Hi VUC,

If a damper is to be incorporated in the frame of the bicycle, you must design the mounted position in accordance with the damper you want to use.

Stroke, recoil energy, spring rate, your frames weight, your average riding weight, the travel your swing arm has, the mechanical advantage the swing arm will have against the damper, and finally the strength of the frame at the mounting points.

A simple line drawing using the arc of the arm, the stroke of the damper and the design load of the coil or damper, can be made in Visio 6 and then overlaid to your bicycle frame drawing.
