Data Acquisition Board for a Flight Data Recorder

01/28/2009 3:40 PM

Do anyone know how I can find the above Data Aquisition System Board P/N : 722-3738? This Circuit board is a part of Flight Data Recorder Tester P/N: 964-0434-01 used to test Flight Data Recorder Unit of Boeing 737.

Thanks.

This looks like a standard PC plug-in. Is there anything to indicate a manufacturer? Any other markings on the board? Any more history you can glean from anyone involved?

Hi edignan, manufacture is Allied signal. The Tester P/N is 964-0434 and the squematic is original from honeywell. The test equipment test a fligh data recorder Boeing 737, 747, "the black box".

I try troubleshooting this board and found a lot false contact because is a 4 layer circuit printing board. When I find one false contact, after weeks, I have to repair again. In addition we found 3 mistake in the squematic that we have in library, whe trying to reproduce the board in orcad program for fabrication a new board. I can't trust this schematic diagramms.

The probable solutions are buy a new manufacture printing board with electronics parts, including or not. At this time I don't see any place that sell this, Only if I will buy the all test equipment at cost $8,000. The other solution is find a squematic for this board with a corrections or service bulleting.

Any help with great help. This is my first time in this forum and I hope enjoy it a lot.

Try using Schematic insted of Squematic in your search. We spell a little odd across the pond.

The board looks like it has Compaq Products screen printed on the large IC in the upper left. Might be a place to start. Boeing might also have some info.

I would need a much better picture to find the silk screened board info on it. Some times it is just a logo symbol. Sometime a small adhesive label with a bar-code is used for inventory tracking also.
