magnetizing and moving of elements????

Hello is there any way to magnetize and move a mild steel plate of 3m length and 50x500 cross section using the magnetizing and demagnetizing property? please suggest ideas

The details are too much for this forum.

Pl check (google)

a) Linear Induction motors

b) Magnetic leviathon (as in the Maglev trains)

But as on date it is quite energy inefficient and easier is to hold it by magnet and move by crane
