I like CAESAR II (mainly because I don't know any different)

Other mainstream popular programs in the piping stress biz include:

  • CAEPIPE
  • TRIFLEX
  • SIMFLEX
  • ProCetus
  • + others I have neglected, and smaller programs

Shanii,

The first thing you need to do is learn all you can about pipe stress analysis before you buy a stress program.

Shanii,

The best programs are Caesarii or Autopipe.

However, these programs should only be used by qualified personnel. The interpretation of the results requires review by an experienced individual. If you want to run the Caesarii program, I suggest you attend one of the excellent training seminars that are on offer.

ROHR2, a Pipe Stress analysis software made in Germany must be taken into consideration when checking availabe pipe stress programs. . ROHR2 offers a graphical input which makes geometry input easier than in CII. ROHR2 offers lots of field tested interfaces (e.g. PDMS import, PDS, PCF format). The ROHR2 results analysis has been enhanced by a report generation module.

Go to rohr2.com for a check.
