Ground Potential Rise

(1) What is the minimum length of one side of a grounding square mesh as per IEEE requirement to contain the ground potential ?

(2) What are the reasons for not energising large transformer (125MVA) by small Diesel Generator (1.75MW) ?

Ans to Question 2: High inrush current can cause DG to sink.
