pop can cooler

what kind of insultar should a person use when keeping a pop can cold for at least 5 hours and it must stay in range of same temperture or at least 3 celusis off or colder

In order to answer that question, you must define both "cold," and the ambient temperature from which it is to be insulated. You may be stating that the cold target temperature is 3 degrees Celsius, or you may be saying the temperature can't rise more than 3 degrees Celsius within five hours; I can't tell from your post.

In any case, Newton's law of heat transfer says that the rate of heat transfer is proportional to the difference in temperature between the two different bodies; hence you must specify both temperatures.
